I started young. At 17, I was already in a newsroom as a rewrite clerk, learning the craft before I even had a college degree. After university, I worked at a magazine covering ranching, sold ads, wrote features, and somehow ended up in a funeral home and a few HR offices along the way. Life's funny like that. But no matter what my job title said, I was always writing.

In 2012, I made it official. I quit my HR job, packed up my life, and went freelance. (I also sold everything and moved to the Philippines for nine years. Because if you're going to bet on yourself, you might as well go all in.)

Since then, I've written hundreds of pieces across lifestyle, travel, healthcare, fintech, and more — and spent several years on staff with a marketing agency producing copy at a high level.

Much of my work has lived in the world of weddings, events, and luxury services — spaces where the client is discerning, the stakes feel personal, and the writing has to earn its place.

So I know how to write for an audience that expects more, and I know how to deliver it.
